We are all on a journey to know more about who we are and why we are here. The ways of knowing are endless. This is one possibility.
The Story of A Way of Knowing
The journey from conception to completion of A Way of Knowing happened because of a great change in my life. I was inspired to use the voice to create a musical texture and at the same time share a journey of transformation.
I travelled to California to work with a very talented musician named Tom Mcfarlane. My engineer was Jerry Adamowicz of Adamo's Recording Studio in Westminster, CA. I had several chuckles when I realized that I spent that week with Tom and Jerry!
My days were spent at the studio but my day began before that. I was staying nearby in Laguna Beach and every morning I went for a walk on the beach and then sat on a rock and warmed up my voice. At the end of every day I would go for another walk on the beach before going out for dinner.
Though I didn't want the week to end, it inevitably did. To celebrate I went to San Diego for a hot air balloon ride. What fun that was and how fitting an end to a week of floating on the creative energy.
